So with my exams coming up, i decide that it's a good idea to go out and get a new camera as incentive to do well, as well as to get my mind off it during my revision time in the next few weeks, so with new cameras out, what to get but the new 30D... or the D200? Being a Nikonian it would probably be easier to move to the D200 due to the lenses i already have, but i figure i want the better all around performance of the Canon cameras, along with the superior lens system. Better now than later so i ended up getting a 30D and of course, a 17-40 f4/L as my first lens.

And what a lens it is. Works well paired with the 30D and the ergonomics of the thing are superb. Holding my friends 20D, the screen seems nonexistant. the 2.5inch LCD really is great, as is the ISO in viewfinder, along with lightning fast autofocus, superior to Nikon, and of course the solidly built body. Loving it.
